So everyone must have watched Adam’s performance on American Idol last week, right? So whataya think about the song? Do you feel deeply inspired and motivated after listening to it and learning the lyrics?

Well, according to our Idol, this new single, which is also co-written by himself, is meant to be an “empowerment anthem” and also inspiration to others.

According to an interview by KIIS FM, Aftermath is a track that is close to Adam’s heart, as it’s message is to take risks and not be ashamed of who they are – with profits of the song’s sales going to gay charity The Trevor Project.

And here’s what Adam said during the interview: ”It inspires people to take risks for who they are, and take that leap of faith. I’m excited because it’s something that I wrote, and what’s important about it is the message. … It was a song that always got a great response on tour, and I’ve been wanting to do something with The Trevor Project, and I think it really speaks to their slogan ‘It Gets Better’.”

Being a responsible and committed artiste, Adam thinks he shoulders the job to “help people believe in who they are, and to not be pounded into submission.”  He explains that in his career, it’s been “really important” for him to, as he puts it, “stand my ground and be who I am, in hopes that kids out there, young adults and…anybody, any age can be inspired by that.”"
